Glassin Films › Film School Work
A man on a drunken bender breaks a window and is imprisoned until he can make a new pane of glass.
Since his original editor left the school, writer/director Lou Costello was left without an editor and I offered to help him out. However, after three or four cuts Lou decided to recruit another of my classmates to recut his film. Fortunately, because it was merely a matter of personal taste, there were no hard feelings involved on either end.
For my second cut I made two versions—a linear one and a flashback one—since there was some debate about which way the story should be told. While I'm still partial to the linear version, the class voted in favor of the flashback version, which is why subsequent cuts no longer had a linear version.
